Air Force School Requirements

Get 15 or more semester hours of eligible university credits to get the same eligibility as a high school graduate Age requirements vary depending on the path you choose to take. Plan the timing of your application to ensure that you are eligible at age for service. It can also be a quick disqualification. But don`t worry! For high school graduates, the minimum score is 36 and 65 for GED holders. Once you sign up, there are plenty of opportunities to qualify and eventually move on to a professional field that interests you more. Your previous academic record (RAP) is a measure of classroom performance and is based on a combination of your class rank and cumulative grade point average. If class ranking is not specified, the RAP is based on our assessment of your transcript, school profile, and schedule for the final year. Our recent classes have on average the first three percent of their high school classes. Adjustments to the RAP are made for students who attend exceptionally competitive schools with a strict college preparation program and/or where honors and advanced placement courses are NOT weighted in the calculation of class rank and/or overall school average.

If you wish to register with the Air Force as a non-citizen, you must be a legal permanent resident with a valid green card. The requirements to be an officer are a bit stricter, and you must be a native-born or naturalized U.S. citizen. This 10-month school is designed to prepare some young men and women to potentially go to the U.S. Air Force Academy and succeed. Students who are below 620 evidence-based readings and writings in the SAT argumentation test or below 580 mathematics and less than 24 English/reading and 25 mathematics/science in the ACT are generally not competitive for an appointment directly at the academy. However, you will be considered for preparatory school or a Falcon Foundation scholarship. We can put you in touch with recruiters from different military branches.

Discover the benefits of serving your country, paying for your education, military careers and more: sign up now and listen to a recruiter in your area. Note that GOL holders will have to wait until GOL candidate spaces are available, which can sometimes mean wait times of up to a year. Under normal circumstances, 1% of our recruited troop additions hold GOL for a period of one year. Flyers are subject to strict requirements and restrictions regarding body modifications. If you are considering getting a tattoo or other body modifications, carefully consider the placement, size, and contents before proceeding. The U.S. Air Force Academy is looking for individuals who have an outstanding academic record and strong leadership potential. As we offer one of the most prestigious and respected academic programs, the standards are high. The admissions process includes a review of two key indicators of academic achievement. Not sure if you meet the requirements? Apply anyway.

There are other ways to get to the academy. The Air Force maintains strict height and weight requirements throughout your career. Check if your height is within the acceptable range and manage your weight to meet our standards for male and female aviators. Make sure you are authorized by your doctor for vigorous exercise before doing any strenuous physical activity or weight loss program. Contact an Air Force recruiter for the latest ots requirements. There are five steps: knowing the basic requirements for applying for an appointment, completing a candidate questionnaire, completing the application package, obtaining an appointment by a member of Congress or other qualified agency, and completing tests. The next part of the requirements to join the Air Force is paperwork. You have a lot of paperwork to do with your recruiter. A background check and all your personal information is required. You`ll talk at length about what you expect from your military career, including what you hope to do in the Air Force.

For paperwork, you will need the following personal documents: Of course, Basic Military Training (BMT) will provide you with a lot of physical and mental training, but the Air Force must ensure that you have a good base before being fired. The gung-ho recruit will not even be able to set foot on the bus until it meets the weight requirements for both men and women: once you have passed all the necessary requirements and tests and have been officially accepted into the Air Force, you will go to the Delayed Entry Program (DEP), which means you will wait for your departure date for Basic Military Training (BMT). Meanwhile, it`s a good idea to work on your fitness to prepare for BMT challenges. Before you start registering, make sure you`ve taken the time to see if you meet all of our membership criteria. The very first step is to make sure you meet our basic requirements. During school enrollment, EFCA participants are promoted to the rank of Staff Sergeant (E-5) and receive their full salary and air force achievements, as well as money for tuition and books. If you do not meet these requirements, you will not even get to a stage of filling in the documents, it is a clear no. The high school diploma is probably the easiest of the 3 to correct, if you are considering enrolling, you should be aware of these minimum requirements. The actual process of joining the Air Force is pretty straightforward, and you`ll be guided by your recruiter every step of the way.

Before you can be accepted, there are mandatory requirements and assessments that you must pass to ensure that you have what it takes to succeed as an aviator in the US Air Force. To ensure that we make specific adjustments to your RAP, please ask your advisor to include a profile of your high school graduating class with your transcript. Note: A solid foundation in algebra is more valuable than dealing with calculus. The U.S. Air Force Academy is one of the most competitive schools in the country. You must meet high academic, physical, character and medical standards to be eligible for an appointment. Knowing what these standards are is the first step to exceeding them. If you`re in high school, your first concern should be education.
