The former Halliwell Conservative Club on Halliwell Road, approximately 90 meters from MA Mission, was purchased in March 2021. Renovation of the building started in July 2024, after many months of planning and approval by the local council. As the building had been left unoccupied for quite a while prior to purchase, it was in a state of disrepair and needed a lot of remedial work carryingout: the roof was severely damaged; the first floor was open to the elements in some places; the cellar was full of damp and dry rot had set it. Since July 2024 work has started and the building is on course to be refurbished according to the architectural drawings provided by a professional firm based in Manchester. We areever grateful to Gaurya Consulting Structural Engineers for their invaluable advice,professionalism and unwavering support throughout the project.
